Discover School of X: the new project of Major Lazer’s drummer
Something wicked this way comes! One of the most promising artists in the Danish music scene, School of X, is releasing his new single “Words.”
Rasmus Littauer, the man behind this banging solo project School of X, has been drumming for highly recognized international artists such as Major Lazer, MØ and Reptile Youth. Now he decided to come to the front of the stage and launch his solo career.
The fitting lyrics of his single Words “I need rhythm for the soul, you could never fill the hole” are self-explanatory. This is the expression of his desire to take control of his persona as an artist and front his project. The tune expresses the feeling of wanting something, and at the same time, getting as far from it as possible. It explores the dualism of life and combines it with the youthful restlessness, the sense of angst that builds up on the production.
“When I made the previous version of words on Soundcloud, I subsequently received a whole lot of inquiries from both record companies and other interesting people in the music industry from around the world, and it took time to find the right solution.”
School of X had only been releasing stuff via his SoundCloud channel, which has gained him significant international repercussion thanks to his songs Las Vegas, Words, and his cover of By Your Side. Littauer has proved himself to be a complete artist and a multi-talented musician: he is equally fantastic behind the drums, on the microphone, as a composer, producer and playing all instruments that conform his productions.
School of X will take on Roskilde this summer, performing live. Get ahead of the game and start securing your tickets.
